Reality Digital to Present at Building Blocks 2008 on Next Generation Advertising

Reality Digital founder will be presenting at Building Blocks 2008 on next-generation advertising and how it will evolve in the face of new technologies such as Web 2.0.

SAN FRANCISCO - July 30, 2008 - Reality Digital, Inc., a leading provider of brand-focused social media solutions for businesses, today announced that Founder and CEO Cynthia Francis will be presenting at Building Blocks 2008 on next-generation advertising and how it will evolve in the face of new technologies such as Web 2.0. Building Blocks 2008 will be held at the Marriott in San Jose, Calif. on Aug. 5-7, 2008.

Francis will be participating on the Advertising and Commerce Platform panel on Aug. 6. Other panel participants include executives from IBM Global Business Services, BLITZ, Operative, PeopleJam, Organic, and Canaan Partners. The panel will look for a comprehensive understanding of what advertising in the next generation will look like. The world of advertising has been completely dislocated by the acceptance and integration of new technologies, from PVR and broadband to social networks, VOD, mobile, Blogs and ITV. This poses a challenge for the consumer as they are being both barraged by content and choice, while being overwhelmed by the technology itself.

While the decisions being made by the advertising community are always measured and incremental, the technologies at hand are profound and will only move forward. How fast and at what rate of impact is still to be understood, but the question is no longer about consumer acceptance and proof of distribution, it is about when the roof is going to cave in. The new technologies are successfully invading traditional media and the good news is rather than leaving the advertiser without a way of reaching the audience, the new technologies may ultimately prove to be a better and more comprehensive vehicle for reaching and developing relationships with an even larger customer base.

Francis co-founded Reality Digital, an on-demand platform that enables businesses to add cutting edge video sharing, social media and networking features, as well as business tools to their digital media initiatives. The company's flagship product, the Reality Digital Opus™ platform, applies a software-as-a-service (SaaS) delivery model that can be rapidly launched as either a brand new Web environment, or within an existing Web domain to allow users to upload, manage and share digital video, audio and images online. Reality Digital provides companies with the opportunity to establish a dialog and foster a more intimate relationship with their customers. The approach improves brand awareness, user loyalty, customer retention and site "stickiness," as well as positively affecting advertising revenues. Reality Digital powers sites for major media, entertainment, travel and brand focused companies and works closely with agencies and new media companies. As a pioneer in the field of online video management, Francis is a frequent speaker at events including Digital Hollywood, Streaming Media, NAB, OMMA (Online Media, Marketing and Advertising) and others.
